MinaPod
A compact adaptive sensory environment being developed to support participation near the moment it matters.
What MinaPod is
MinaPod is MinaLixr’s flagship physical environmental intervention. It is intended for shared settings such as schools, clinics, libraries, and public spaces where fixed environments can create barriers to access and meaningful activity.
MinaPod is designed to support user agency and environmental adaptability without requiring a person to leave the setting entirely.
Public design principles
Compact: designed for practical placement
Adaptive: environmental features can respond to changing needs
Near participation: intended for use close to meaningful activity
User-directed: agency and choice remain central
Institution-ready: developed with implementation, safety, and durability in mind
What MinaPod is not
MinaPod is not a diagnosis treatment, calming room, booth, toy, or generic sensory pod. It is being developed as an environmental option within broader professional and institutional supports.
Development status
MinaPod is in development and preparing for structured real-world validation. Current work includes product development, practitioner and stakeholder input, safety planning, feasibility, and measurement design. We will share results only when evidence supports them.
Public category: Adaptive Sensory Environment (ASE).
Partner on validation
We are preparing the next stage of responsible validation with clinicians, educators, researchers, and institutions.
